Winter Vacations Schedule Announced for Punjab
For the winter holidays schedule, the Punjab government has divided districts into two phases. Details indicate that 24 districts of Punjab will have holidays from December 23rd to January 6th, while 12 districts will have holidays from January 3rd to January 13th.
From December 23rd to January 6th, Sahiwal, Gujarat, Gujranwala, Pakpattan, Sheikhupura, Okara, Vihari, Khanewal, Lahore, Khushab, Hafizabad, Multan, Toba Tek Singh, Bahawalpur, Bahawalngar, Sargodha, Mandi Bahauddin, Lodhran, Nankana Sahib and Jhang will officially be on winter vacations.
Aside from these districts, winter vacations will begin on January 3rd and end on January 13th in Rajanpur, Leh, Jhelum, Mianwali, Attock, Muzaffargarh, Chakwal, Bhakkar, Rawalpindi, Rahim Yar Khan, DG Khan, and Chiniot.
Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, chaired a high-level meeting on Tuesday to review and develop higher education in the province in line with international standards. In order to encourage a healthy lifestyle in society, it was decided to restore sports activities in all educational institutions.
Also highlighted was the colleges' financial independence. It was attended by the Chief Minister's advisor, Aamir Saeed Raan, the Chief Secretary, Abdullah Sumbal, and the Secretary of the Higher Education Department.
