Punjab declares a decision on school winter vacations
The Punjab government, headed by the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), have opted not to extend winter vacations in the province's public and private schools.
Punjab's Education Minister, Dr. Murad Raas, has stated that all public and private schools that were shut due to winter vacations until January 6, 2022 will operate on January 7, 2022, as planned.

Winter vacations will be followed in the remaining 12 districts from January 3 to 13, 2022. The following districts' schools will reopen on January 14, 2022:
- Jhelum
- Mianwali
- Attock
- Muzaffargarh
- Chakwal
- Bhakkar
- Rawalpindi
- Rajanpur
- Layyah
- Raheem Yar Khan
- Dera Ghazi Khan
- Chiniot
