US City to Build a Welfare School in Okara Using 'Go Fund Me'
In support of the family of slain Pakistani Afzaal Hussain, Española has launched a GoFundMe page to offer a "financial cushion" for Okara, a Pakistan-based welfare school to be named after him.
According to media reports, Afzal Hussain, a resident of Hujra Shah Moqim in the Okara area, was killed in New Mexico.
Afzal, who was the sole breadwinner of his family, will receive financial assistance from the State of New Mexico through this amount. It was important to him to work; he believed that an educated person empowers the entire community.
Additionally, these funds will also be used to build a school in Afzal's hometown of Okara in Pakistan that will provide world-class education to underprivileged children, which was Afzal's dream.
Afzal's brother Imtiaz Hussain said that they intend to open a school in their village, these funds will be used for deserving people.
The deceased was also a former student leader of the University of New Mexico where he studied architecture. He was also the first Muslim president of the student association.
