Sindh to Stop Paying Salaries of Ghost Teachers
Sindh's Education Department has written to its accountant to halt the salaries of more than 2 thousand employees while taking a tough stance against ghost teachers.
To stop paying the salaries of ghost teachers, the Education Department sent a letter to the Sindh Accountant General asking that salaries for 2,191 employees be indefinitely suspended immediately.
According to Sindh Education Secretary Akbar Laghari, 144 ghost teachers in Karachi, 132 in Hyderabad, and 114 in Mirpur Khas will be fired.
Reports show that there are 464 ghost teachers in Qamber Shahdadkot, 190 in Jacobabad, 102 in Dadu, 182 in Benazirabad, 128 in Shikarpur, 89 in Nowshahrofiroz, 155 in Larkana, and 28 in Sanghar.
