Sindh Education Department fires 79 ghost teachers and employees
Teachers and employees of government schools who have been absent for more than eight months have been dismissed by the Sindh Education Department.
According to Express News, major action has been taken against teachers and employees who have been absent for eight months.
The Sindh Education Department released statistics on ghost employees, including 79 suspended employees, as well as 8 high school teachers, 8 junior school teachers, 10 primary school teachers, 4 Sindhi teachers, 2 headmasters, and non-teaching staff.
Dismissed school staff members also include office assistants, clerks, and custodians.
Allegedly, all of these employees were receiving salaries at home, sitting at home, and didn't attend any of the government schools in Karachi.
