Sindh Educational Institutes to Remain Closed till Saturday
Sindh's education department has announced that all schools will remain closed on Friday and Saturday (August 26th-27th) due to heavy rainfall warnings.
As a result of a rain emergency, government and private educational institutions will remain closed on August 26th and 27th.
Sardar Shah, the provincial education minister, took the decision to close schools due to a rain emergency and a rain forecast.
In a statement, the minister said: "Many districts of Sindh are still affected by floods and most colleges and schools are under water."
Due to the rains and the latest Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) advisory, the Government of Sindh closed schools and colleges for two days (Wednesday and Thursday).
In response, the Board of Intermediate Education (BIEK), Karachi, announced the postponement of the August 24th and 25th exams.
