Sindh Announces Holidays on August 24th & 25th for Educational Institutes
The Sindh Education Department has announced a two-day holiday in all schools and colleges in light of heavy rains.
According to Express News, the education department has announced a public holiday on Wednesday and Thursday for all schools and colleges managed by the Sindh government.
In this regard, Sindh Education Minister Sardar Shah stated that due to the recent heavy rains, they are declaring a holiday on August 24th and 25th so that the students can stay safe and protected from all kinds of problems.
The recent announcement has also caused a delay of the examinations meant to take place on the two respected days.
The University of Karachi’s Examinations Administrator says that the new dates of the examinations will be announced later on.
It is important to note that due to the heavy rains and floods that have occurred in the last one month, most areas in Sindh have flooded, while dozens of people have lost their lives. The infrastructure of many cities has been badly affected, due to which the people are facing severe problems.
