Schools Open after Summer Break
Educational institutions across the country, including Sindh, Punjab and Islamabad, reopened after two months of summer vacation.
Educational institutions including federal and government schools and colleges in the country reopened after the two-month summer vacation and academic activities resumed.
The teaching process in government and private schools of Sindh and Punjab, including Karachi, has resumed after the holidays. In view of the ongoing monsoon rains in Karachi, some private schools in the city have extended their summer holidays, while schools in flood-affected areas will remain closed for the time being.
Due to the rain, the attendance of children in schools was less than usual. In Hyderabad too, attendance was less than normal on the first day of opening of educational institutions after the summer vacation. The federal and some private educational institutions had already extended the summer vacations till August 15, while the Sindh Education Department had announced not to extend the summer vacations.
In Gujranwala, the new academic year has also begun after the end of summer vacations. Water from last week’s rain accumulated inside and outside the schools due to which children and teachers faced many difficulties.
