Punjab Govt announces a guide for Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Scholarship Program 2021
Punjab's government has initiated a special 'Rehmatul-Lil-Alameen' scholarship program for talented and unprivileged students throughout the province.
Under the guidelines of the Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Usman Buzdar, the program was introduced to assist students from all Punjab public sector colleges and universities based on merit and ability.

Usman Buzdar said that Rs. 1 billion has been assigned for the scholarship program.
The Scholarship will be awarded based on SSC Exam results. Students must have earned at least 60% marks from any public sector school in SSC examinations and then gained admission to a government college within two years of completing the Matric to gain from this Scholarship. Students taking advantage of any such grant are also not considered for the scheme.
The salary of their family should be less than or equal to Rs. 25,000 a month for the need-based candidates and the parents shouldn't own more than 5 acres of agricultural land or 5 marlas of urban land.
Note here that out of 50 percent of need-based scholarships, a 10 percent quota will be reserved for government employees' children.

For merit-based students, the qualifying requirements are that candidates must have the best score in their respective district, which may be confirmed by the Department of Higher Education (HED). The ranking will be consistent with the details given by the exam boards in Punjab.

The last date to apply is March 10, 2021.
Buzdar said that once their information is checked online, the scholarships will be transferred to students via online banking.
