The court has also rejected the proposal to close Bar BQ shops, stating that the closure of shops cannot be done so early and that an alternate solution be found.

The PDMA director told the court that as the cold has become more severe, sales of grilled fish and barbeque have increased, but so have emissions of smoke and smog, thus stores and marketplaces should be compelled to close immediately.

The court noted that markets all across the world close at 6 p.m. Working hours on the market should be shortened.

The case has been adjourned until Friday.
