Despite the shutdown caused by the current pandemic, massive numbers of students are losing out on their education today. Fortunately, government of Pakistan has introduced numerous programs to help curb the spread of the virus and encourage people within their homes.
Earlier this month, the Punjab government launched Taleem Ghar TV channel and also promised that an app will be coming soon to help students to continue their education at home. Finally, the mobile application was launched and it goes by the same name as Taleem Ghar TV channel.
Students from grade one to intermediate will be able to study very soon using this app. It will include a wide variety of localized and interactive lessons that will be open to everyone free of charge. Lectures on mathematics, science, languages and other subjects are also available with animated teachers via the application, cable television, and the website.
In a meeting with the IT board’s directors and other senior members, The Chairman of Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Azfar Manzoor announced the launch of the application. He said that this project aims to help the students who live in remote areas or those who have stuck in their homes because of Covid-19.
