According to a notice released by the KP government, the universities will appoint new staff on the universities' pay scales instead of the pay scale of the government, indicating they will not get pensions.
This decision was made to alleviate the financial crisis faced by universities.
Similarly, to raise the fee structure to reach a financial break-even, the schools run by different colleges would be reformed. It was also proposed that schools have a separate Board of Governors (BoG) to achieve their economic, administrative, and academic effectiveness.
