HEC announces the Higher Education Aptitude Test schedule
A schedule for the Higher Education Aptitude Test (HAT) has been announced by the Higher Education Commission (HEC) for students looking for HEC scholarships and admissions to MS/MPhil and PhD programs.
Through a standardized and transparent selection process, HEC conducts this test in conjunction with the Education Testing Council (ETC) for all HEC scholarship awards and admissions to the above-mentioned programs.

The application deadline is 10th May, 2023.
Qualifications
- Applicants who apply online for MS/MPhil or PhD programs or HEC scholarships through the e-portal
- Future scholarship applicants, including those from Pakistani universities sponsored by the HEC
- Admission to MS/MPhil or PhD programs at Pakistani public and private universities
Application Process
- Interested candidates should visit HEC's e-portal to register
- Complete your profile in the 'My Profile' section first
- On the online portal, use the 'Higher Education Aptitude Test' to submit your application
- HEC will only consider applications submitted with HAT. Applications that are only saved or incomplete will be rejected
- The bank fee challan can be downloaded from the ETC website
- Each candidate must pay Rs. 2,000 to register for HAT. Please deposit the fee at the following address:

- Applicants are required to upload a scanned copy of their paid fee challan after submitting their fees
- The applicant's original fee challan, roll number slip, CNIC/Passport, and original fee challan must be brought on test day along with the roll number slip
