Girl Student Allegedly Gang-Raped in University Hostel
Chaudhry Hamid Hameed, a member of the National Assembly (MNA), has stated that a female student was gang-raped in the International Islamic University (IIU) Islamabad's hostel.
On Wednesday, he revealed this during a meeting of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Education.
According to the MNA, the victim was admitted to a private hospital in F-10, and the university administration has been attempting to sweep the matter under the rug.

He claimed that the hostel warden was also questioned by law enforcement, but she flatly denied everything. "The hospital management could as well have destroyed the data after that," he added.
Nasir Farid, a spokeswoman for the IIUI, dismissed the news as "bogus and unfounded."
In an interview with Express News, he stated that the administration makes every effort to protect the lives and property of students on campus.
He believed that such "false news" was intended to obstruct the current admissions campaign, and hoped that the media would play a part in exposing the reality behind the tale.
