Hours before the final announcement by National Command and Operation Authority on the closure of educational Institutes, the students took to twitter initiating a trend and urging the education minister Shafqat Mahmood to cancel the exams.
The Twitter users started a trend #cancelexamspakistan2021 bringing the attention of the authorities to not risk the lives of students by taking in person exams amid the third wave of coronavirus pandemic.
The trend emerged as the NCOC along with the health and education ministry deliberates the situation of increased Covid-19 positivity rate in the country.
