An Afghani professor tore-up his diplomas on live television
To protest a ban on girls' education, an Afghan professor tore up his diplomas and certificates on live television.
In a video posted to social media, a Kabul University professor can be seen tearing up the certificates and diplomas of his students.
As the professor explained in other words, 'if Afghan women, sisters, and daughters do not have the right to education, then I do not have the right to keep these diplomas and certificates. Afghanistan has no room for education.'
In addition to banning female university students from attending classes, the Taliban government has also prohibited secondary school education for girls.
Along with the United Nations, Malala Yousafzai and Rashid Khan of the Afghan Cricket Team, the world is protesting the Taliban's ban of women's education.
Male students have even walked out in protest of the situation, which is being talked about globally.
