Waqar Zaka calls Shafqat Mahmood ‘The Godzilla of Ego’
While joining the Twitter trend #CancelExamsSaveStudents, Waqar Zaka, a Pakistani television host called the education minister “the Godzilla of Ego” for not listening to the pleas of students to cancel exams as the coronavirus pandemic sikes in the country.
The television host and popular celebrity of Pakistan also tagged Prime Minister Imran Khan in his tweet asking him if even he “Can’t see the pain of students?”

It is pertinent to note that the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Committee (IPEMC) on Wednesday rejected the proposal to promote 9th and 11th-grade students and to conduct examinations of only optional subjects for class 10th and 12th. However, it was agreed in principle to conduct the examinations in two phases due to the prevailing Covid-19 situation in the country.
Many students and celebrities and students registered protest against the decision to take exams amid coronavirus pandemic spike by using the hashtag #CancelExamsSaveStudents on a micro-blogging site.
