Tariq Banuri re-assumes his position as Chairman of HEC to ensure quality education
Returning after 11 month absence as Tariq Banuri has been out of office since March 26, 2021. Chairman HEC is now all set to resolve issues faced by HEC staff
Chairman HEC Tariq Banuri expressed gratitude to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) for defending the rule of law and protecting the integrity of the country's foremost institution in a statement issued on Wednesday.

In light of the court verdict, Tariq Banuri has re-assumed his position as Chairman of Pakistan's Higher Education Commission (HEC), with a revived commitment to protecting students' right to quality education.
He expressed his determination to resume working with all stakeholders in the higher education sector; including vice chancellors, top government officials, and HEC staff, to improve quality and research in higher education institutions.
He stated that he will fix the challenges that HEC employees are encountering, telling them that he is always there to assist them.
