Sri Lankan students to study in Pakistan on scholarship
More than 700 students from Sri Lanka will appear in a written test for scholarship program Pakistan-Sri Lanka Higher Education Cooperation that will allow them to study in Pakistan’s universities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels on scholarship.
The main purpose of introducing these scholarships is to further strengthen the relationships between the two countries and bring people of both the countries closer through education.

The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan in partnership with Pakistan High Commission Colombo and University Grants Commission (UGC) of Sri Lanka will hold the tests in three cities including Colombo, Kandy and Batticaloa.
The successful candidates will study their BS, MS or PhD studies in public sector universities of Pakistan. Scholarships are offered in all major disciplines including Medicine, Engineering, Business Studies, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, etc.
Students will Sri Lankan nationality can take the admission test with minimum qualification to pursue undergraduate and postgraduate studies. A high school diploma or equivalent is compulsory for admission in BS programmes.

As for MS programmes, students with a four-year undergraduate degree or Bachelor's and Master's degree (16 years of education) will be eligible to apply. Similarly for PhD studies must have a Master's or MPhil degree (18 years of education) to appear for the test.
