SOPs issued for Matric and Inter Exams by the Federal Ministry of Education
On the directives of the Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Shafqat Mehmood, The Inter Board Committee Chairmen (IBCC) have issued special guidelines to be followed by students and teachers during the Matriculation and Intermediate exams.
While issuing the health guidelines, the Ministry of Education said that it is the collective responsibility of students, teachers, and examination staff to implement the COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs) during the board examinations.

According to an inside source, to reduce the risk of infection, the examination halls will be disinfected and cleaned regularly. Everyone in the examination hall will be directed to strictly follow social distancing protocols and wear a mask.
In addition to this, the SOPs also include taking the temperatures of staff and candidates at the entry gate every day and everyone will be asked to sanitize their hands before proceeding to the examination hall.
The parents and students have already been assured by the Federal Education Ministry that only the fully vaccinated staff will work at the examination centers.

There will also be separate drinking glasses for each student to minimize the spreading of the coronavirus.
To minimize the spread of COVID-19 during the exams, each student will have their own separate drinking glasses. The exam halls will have spacious seating arrangements between the students, as per the social distancing protocol, and also, no more than 50 candidates will be allowed to take the exam at same time.
The exams for Matric will commence from Monday, 12th July and ends on 30th July while the exams for Intermediate will be held between 10th and 30th July.
