Sindh might close schools and colleges once more
Due to the sheer rising number of cases of the Omicron version of the coronavirus, the Sindh government is considering closing schools and institutions in Karachi.
According to a statement released by the Sindh Health Department authorities are constantly watching the situation and will make a decision within two or three days.
Dr. Faisal Sultan, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health, announced on Monday that the COVID-19 infection rate in Karachi has surpassed 8.9%, with the Omicron form accounting for the majority of infections.

Furthermore, Sindh's Chief Minister, Syed Murad Ali Shah, has urged responsible authorities to ramp up vaccination campaigns in Karachi and Hyderabad, as well as take action against violations of COVID-19 standard operating procedures (SOPs).
