Punjab govt. launches online portal for teachers
The Punjab government has started an online platform to simplify the current settlement process for School Education Department (SED) teachers’ retirement.
The web portal, known as the Online Retirement system for Teachers (ORST), has been established by the Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB).
In a ceremony held at the Quaid-e-Azam Academy for Educational Development (QAED) in Lahore, Punjab Education Minister Dr. Murad Raas formally launched the ORST.

Dr. Murad said while addressing the launch ceremony, the start of ORST would encourage teachers to complete their settlement process without having to bribe at various phases.
He also vowed to add more accountability to the SED by fully automating the agency after digitizing the retirement process.
