Punjab Governor Bans Political Gatherings at Universities
Baligh Ur Rehman, the governor of Punjab, has written to vice chancellors of government universities to ban political gatherings in their respective vicinities.
It is not prohibited for politicians to attend educational institutions. However, there will be no political gatherings in public sector universities according to the Governor.
It further states that the forum of educational institutions should not be used to promote hate or political agendas, and universities should only serve educational purposes.
