PTI's Single National Curriculum Project gets a new name
As a result of a decision made by the Federal Education Ministry, the Single National Curriculum (SNC) has been renamed Pakistan National Curriculum (PNC).
Rana Tanveer Hussain, Federal Education Minister, said that the word "single" is confusing and doesn't reflect the diversity found in the country's education system.
Thus, SNC is now PNC. PNC will now implement all curriculum and education-related reforms. Under PNC, comprehensive reforms will be introduced that cover all four aspects of a modern syllabus.
Standardization, textbooks, teacher training, and examination reform are among these aspects. Without integrating these two factors into the education system, the PNC's reforms will remain incomplete.
Teachers will receive training on modern standards under teacher training reforms, enabling them to impart quality education. As part of the exam reforms, concept-based interventions will be introduced to end rote learning.
In collaboration with education ministries from all federating units, the Federal Education Ministry held a National Curriculum Workshop.
