In the past month, as the province already had an advanced curriculum relative to the other provinces, the Sindh Minister of Education, Saeed Ghani, had stated that he would not follow the SNC. But Shafqat Mahmood, the federal education minister, ordered all the provinces to print one to five class textbooks according to the single national curriculum. The federal ministry has reported an ongoing debate with the Sindh governments and that the SNC will be implemented in both public and private schools and seminars. Since introducing the primary level curriculum, the government will launch the standardized curriculum from next year for classes 6 to 8 and from 2023 for nine to twelve classes.
