President Alvi asks educational institutions to upgrade IT infrastructure for effective online learning
According to a news release, the president, while chairing a follow-up meeting on the National University of Modern Languages (NUML), stated that Pakistan has a skilled manpower deficit and that higher educational and technical institutions should focus on human resource skill development.
President Alvi stated that the world has turned to online learning and stated that educational institutions needed to invest heavily in upgrading their IT infrastructure in order to support online learning.
He emphasized the importance of increasing the amount of online education and the number of virtual classes to lower the cost of education, particularly for students from rural areas. He further said that Pakistan aims to promote economic, trade, and cultural ties with friendly countries.
