PMC announces that the MDCAT exam will be conducted in prisons

According to the Pakistan Medical Commission (PMC), MDCAT exams will be administered to prisoners in jails.

After an official directive was issued by the Federal Health Minister, university officials have been instructed to set up MDCAT testing centers in jails.

In order to facilitate the universities, jail staff and the concerned authorities will make the appropriate arrangements. In addition to the MDCAT, candidates may be able to pursue further education.

Providing prisoners with educational opportunities will strengthen the notion that they will be reformed.

This will be the first time the MDCAT exam has been conducted in jails in the country's history. The Federal Ministry of Health (NHSR&C) envisions providing opportunities for deserving and capable individuals in prison to study as doctors, nurses, or in any other field of medicine.
