PMC Announces MDCAT Date 2022
PMC Announces MDCAT Date 2022
PMC has announced that DMCAT 2022 will take place on November 13th, 2022. The MDCAT will be administered by provincial universities. The exam will be based on the PMC's common syllabus, which can be found on the website. Public as well as private universities and colleges will accept MDCAT results throughout Pakistan once they are announced by PMC. A single exam will be administered by PMC at a provincial public university in all provinces through ICT on one day.
For Pakistani students, MDCAT will be held at the following universities: Bolan University of Medical & Health Sciences (Baluchistan), Lahore University of Health Sciences (Punjab), Peshawar Medical University (KPK), Karachi Dow University (Sindh), Islamabad University of Health Sciences (ICT, AJK, Gilgit Baltistan).
Pass rate for MDCAT 2022
There will be a 55% pass rate for MBBS and 45% for BDS. As almost 20000 students went abroad last year to get admissions to foreign medical dental colleges, Pakistan suffered a huge financial loss as a result of the Council relaxing the pass percentage.
NUMS MDCAT 2022
For NUMS-affiliated colleges, the MDCAT exam will be conducted by PMC through NUMS separately. Only those students seeking admission to these colleges may appear for this exam. It was decided not to disturb PMA long courses. A paper-based manual examination will be conducted, and the answer sheets will be uploaded to the exam holding universities' and PMC's websites on the same day. As part of the decision, PMC has opened a portal for registering for the MDCAT exam within the next 10 days.
Foreign MDCAT 2022 Exams
Saudi Arabia and UAE will conduct MDCAT exams for foreign students due to their large student populations. Due to low student numbers and time differences, other countries were unable to have centers. PMC will upload the details of these centers on its website. Foreign students residing in any other country who wish to appear in the MDCAT exam may do so in Pakistan or in these two countries.
