Online Portal Launched for Degree Equivalence Certificates by HEC
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has developed an online platform for equivalence certificates for degrees awarded by Pakistani educational institutions. The equivalence portal has been linked into HEC's already operational e-services portal, according to an official release.
The entire procedure of acquiring an equivalency certificate of a local degree has been digitalized, from the submission of the receipt of challan fee to the submission of educational papers, thanks to the online equivalence portal.
Applicants will also be able to track the status of their applications through the online portal. It will email them the system-generated equivalency certificates.

Those who are unable to use the internet system can nonetheless apply for equivalence certificates against local degrees by filling out a paper application. In this regard, a HEC spokeswoman called the equivalency portal's debut a "revolutionary step," adding that HEC will take similar efforts in the future to help students.
According to the spokesperson, the equivalency portal was created with assistance from all Pakistani universities and other degree-granting organisations.
