Govt launches Job Portal for overseas Pakistanis
A special support portal has been set by the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf government to help overseas Pakistanis who have lost their jobs or facing difficulties during the pandemic.
Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis Zulfi Bukhari shared the link through his social media account and explained that through the OEC Job Portal, the overseas Pakistanis will not only be able to apply for re-employment abroad but also will be eligible for certified training and can ask for the financial assistance from the government.
It is Important to note that many overseas Pakistanis lost their job during the global pandemic and are either stuck in the countries with no financial assistance or have returned home.
According to the sources, Bukhari had earlier said that around 200,000 Pakistanis working abroad have lost their jobs due to the coronavirus outbreak.
