NCOC to decide on exams and student promotions in its next meeting
The Federal Minister for Planning, Development, Reforms & Special Initiatives Asad Umar has announced that the National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) will discuss in-person examinations, summer vacations and the promotions of students, in its upcoming meeting on 29th June.

A few days ago, students had protested in Faizabad against online examinations and a dozen or more protestors were even arrested by the police.
The Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood had earlier announced that the exams for Matriculation and Intermediate will begin after 10th July throughout the country and without exams, no student would be promoted.

He had stated that the “exams for students of classes nine and 10 would be held only for mathematics and elective subjects this year,” and that the O-Level examinations will be conducted after 26 July.
Shafqat Mehmood also said that only Mathematics and Elective subjects’ exams would be held for 9th and 10th class, this year and the O-Level Exams will be held after 26th July.
