NCOC announces reopening of schools
The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) on Wednesday announced that the schools in districts with less than 5 percent positivity ratio will be allowed to reopen and continue educational activities.
The decision came after NCOC chief Asad Umar chaired a meeting, with Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Health Dr. Faisal Sultan, provincial chief secretaries, and other members present at the meeting via video link.

A complete review of the disease's spread in the country was taken, a statement from the NCOC said. Following the meeting, important decisions regarding restrictions were taken after pondering over the current situation.
Speaking at the meeting regarding SSC and HSSC exams, NCOC decided that the exams will be commenced after June 20, while professional and non-professional exams would take place on a case-to-case basis depending on recommendations from the Ministry of Education.

"Educational institutions should be reopened, similar to other sectors, with a strict following of coronavirus SOPs," he said, adding that a further postponement in the closure of educational institutions will result in "irreparable loss" for students.
