Millions of students benefited from tele-school, Shafqat Mehmood
Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mahmood said that seven to eight million students benefited from the government's tele-school program during the coronavirus pandemic.

Taking to the Senate members, Mahmood said that among other steps taken by the government's tele-school program was to make it easier for students to continue getting their education during the pandemic.
The minister said the government also initiated the Radio School to deliver lectures to children restricted in their homes. After coronavirus hit Pakistan early last year and the schools were closed, the government introduced its distance learning policy.

He also said that through all available technology, including laptops, servers, and smartphones, the government has been working to promote learning activities.
He said the emphasis will now also be on teacher training, adult education, and out-of-school children's education.
