Lal Haveli to launch a women's scholarship programme
According to Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed, Minister of Interior, a 'Lal Haveli' scholarship programme would be introduced to provide financial aid to deserving female students who wish to study overseas. He said this when new Dr. AQ Khan Hall at the Government Associate College for Women Dhoke Mangtal was inaugurated on Thursday.
"We're thinking of gathering money to start a scholarship programme." The minister explained that "financial help will be granted to brilliant and worthy female students to study overseas," and that the Lal Haveli would cover all of the candidates' educational fees.
He went on to say that a wonderful college will be established at Dhoke Dalal for Rs. 350 million, and that a case over the site proposed for the college will be heard in court on November 22.
