Karnataka students refuse to appear for exams without wearing hijab

13 students from a school in Karnataka, India, mounted a protest against the hijab ban, due to the ongoing Karnataka hijab dispute, certain students in the state's Shivmogga and Udupi cities were forced to sit in a separate room because they refused to appear for exams without wearing their headscarves.

According to Indian media, students were asked to remove their hijab to take the exam but they refused and decided to boycott the exams instead after their application to allow wearing hijab got rerfused several times.

Parents of these students supported the protest and said they won’t be allowing their children to attend school without wearing hijab.

There are multiple protests going on in schools of Karnataka against the hijab ban. The case is in the Karnataka High Court.
