HEC's Incoming Fresh Graduates Placement Program (IPFP) 2023
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) Islamabad announces an interim placement program for PhD students in universities, colleges, and research organizations for one year. Fresh PhDs who wish to start their careers will benefit from this opportunity. HEC's program offers numerous benefits, including a year of experience at reputable institutions, training, and mentoring. The salary will be PKR 100,000/- per month.
Phase-II (Batch IV) of the IPFP program is accepting applications for the interim placement of fresh PhDs (IPFP) in all subjects and fields of study.
The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has launched the IPFP program to provide opportunities for fresh Ph.D. students to gain academic experience and mentorship for one year in higher education institutions (HEIs), postgraduate colleges run by the government, or public research and development organizations before they enter the academic workforce.
Applications for the HEC Interim Placement of Fresh PhDs program must be submitted by January 16th, 2023. The HEC e-portal allows you to submit your application online.
Interim Placement Criteria for Fresh PhDs
- An AJK/Pakistani national
- A candidate's age should not exceed 40 years old
- A Ph.D. degree from a Pakistani (or foreign) university recognized by HEC is required
- Applicants should have published at least two research papers in journals recognized by HEC or indexed in a database.
- It is necessary for candidates to be unemployed. In the event you are selected, however, you'll need a clearance certificate from your previous employer if you currently hold a regular or contractual job (or another subpar job) in universities or elsewhere
HEC Interim Placement Program Benefits Fresh PhDs
- In the National Faculty Development Program (NFDP), qualified candidates will have the opportunity to attend a one-month course at no cost with a team of highly qualified international and national trainers
- Successful completion of the National Fellowship for Doctoral Program (NFDP) requires candidates to participate in different online activities recommended by the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE) throughout the fellowship period
- IPFP Fellow's one-year placement at Host Institution - HEC will facilitate IPFP Fellow's one-year placement at HEls by sharing their credentials
- The host university will have a faculty mentor assigned to teach IPFP Fellows
How to apply:
- Candidates should apply online through the HEC e-portal. The link is https://eportal.hec.gov.pk/ipfp if you want to apply for IPFP Phase-II (Batch-IV) by January 16th, 2023
- An equivalence certificate issued by the HEC Equivalence Cell or scanned copies of HEC-attested Ph.D. degrees need to be uploaded on the e-portal
