HEC warns students to be cautious of fake agents
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has warned students to be aware of attestation scams perpetrated by fraudsters and imposters.
Fake representatives have been attempting to scam students at the expense of their academic documents, according to the HEC's Student Affairs Division In-Charge, Muhammad Tufail Qureshi, and the commission has issued a special message on all of its affiliated social media accounts to raise awareness about it.
Fake agents, according to the HEC, put duplicate tickets and stamps on degrees and transcripts, and the commission has warned students that such credentials will be confiscated if they are presented for attestation at HEC counters.
It has also advised all parties involved to avoid dealing with unscrupulous brokers and to acquire legal authentication of their academic documents.
