HEC collaborates with Microsoft on Education Transformation Agreement (ETA)
Microsoft Pakistan and Higher Education Commission (HEC) have joined hands on education transformation agreement (ETA) to support educational institutions adopt new technologies in the learning process.
According to a press release, the collaboration was signed at an online meeting between HEC Chairman Dr Tariq Banuri and Vice President Education, Microsoft, Europe Middle East and Africa Mark East and other stakeholders from both sides.

As per the ETA framework, Microsoft will work together with universities, supporting them in their digital transformation journey through a strategic technology framework implementation that enables them to build a secure and well-connected campus, upgrade teaching and learning activities.
HEC has been providing distance learning solutions to continue the academic activities in the universities since the pandemic hit. Supporting the same initiative, Microsoft collaborated with HEC in enabling 100 universities and 500,000 students to join the digital hub of Microsoft Teams. The idea is to bring conversations content, assignments, and apps together at one place, letting educators create vibrant learning environment.

The platform will allow students to access Microsoft’s cloud computing platform, Azure and will support universities in the ability to transform their digital infrastructure with latest cloud provisions.
Microsoft will also offer consultancy to universities to implement Microsoft dynamics 365 platforms for their various departments and Campus Management solution needs.
