HEC announces PERIDOT research programme for Faculty Members of Public & Private Universities
The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan (HEC) has invited research proposals from Pakistani faculty members of Public and Private Univeristies for funding under the Pak-France PERIDOT Research Proposal.
According to the document issued by HEC, PERIDOT is the Franco- Pakistani Hubert Curien Partnership (PHC) Programme providing opoortunities to Pakistani and French researchers to interact for joint research activities.

The programme is a joint effort of HEC and France, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Inetrnational Development (MAEDI) and the Minsitry of Higher Education and Research.
The call for aplication documents states the aim of the programme is to develop new scientific and technological cooperation between the French and Pakistani higher eductaion instituitions, research Laboratories by supporting the mobility of researchers.
Key Features:
Expected number of grants up to 05 per year.
Maximum Project Duration: 3 years.
HEC invites joint research proposals for mobility grant from Pakistani faculty members of public and private univeristies for funding in the following three areas:
- Health
- Human and Social Sciences
- Environmental Sciences /Climate change (including renewable energies and water)
How to Apply:
Proposal from faculty members endorsed by Head of HEIs and ORIC/Directorate of research must reach via HEC online portal research.hec.gov.pk not later than Monday, December 7, 2020 before 17:00 hours PST.
