Educational institutes to open from January 18, Shafqat Mehmood
Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood announces to open educational institutes from January 11. Shafqat Mahmood was heading the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference. The Provincial education ministers and other officials attended the meeting via video link, and health ministry officials briefed on the latest situation in Corona. With the recommendations of the Health ministry, it is decided to open educational institutions from January 18.
The government has decided to open the institutes in phases; from class IX to XII would be opened on January 18, and from class I to VIII 25 and universities from February 1.
The meeting also discussed the board exams to be held in the last week of May and early June while reducing the summer break. Participants also reviewed the start of the new academic year 2020-August 21, 2021, and discussed national education policy.
