Education department mulls over reopening schools on January 24
The Federal Education Minister has recommended reopening educational institutes in Pakistan, not before January 25.
While sending recommendations to the National Command and Operation Center, the federal ministry has suggested reopening educational institutes phase wise. The center has proposed that the Primary schools be reopened on January 24, and the middle and secondary levels would be resumed from February 4. Universities and colleges would be reopened in the third phase, it proposed.

However, the final decision will be announced in a meeting on January 4 (Today) after taking into consideration the advice of a health department.
So far, Pakistan has reported 484,362 confirmed cases and 10,258 deaths from the novel Coronavirus.
