5,500 internships for Students from Merged Districts Announced by KP

Kamran Khan Bangash, the Minister for Higher Education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, announced on Wednesday that the provincial government has set aside Rs. 1.399 billion for 5,500 internships in the merged districts.

The minister said the Skills Development Program had been developed to provide new career chances to the youth of these poor areas while speaking at an event in Peshawar. After completing skills training, Bangash said the government would offer Rs. 2.2 million to youth aged 18 to 35 to assist them start their own business.

He mentioned that the government is striving to build the first women's university in the amalgamated districts, which will provide higher education opportunities for tribal females in their respective locations.

Bangash further said that in the following year and a half, a total of 50 colleges will be built, with 50,000 male and female students receiving education.
