Weather conditions in Lahore result in 3-day school holidays

There were three days of school holidays announced in Lahore because of severe smog. All public and private schools in District Lahore will be closed on these holidays. In accordance with a Lahore High Court order, three days of offs were announced each week.

There has been a declaration of an environmental emergency in Lahore and other cities due to severe smog and ongoing pollution.

In Lahore, masks are now mandatory in all schools. Yesterday, Punjab's Chief Minister Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi announced an environmental emergency to reduce smog in Lahore and other cities.

According to the Chief Minister of Punjab, smog has been declared a disaster and crop residue has been banned from being burned across the state.

Lahore is consistently ranked as one of the most polluted cities in the world, which causes colds, colds, chest infections, fevers, and respiratory diseases to spread rapidly among children and adults.
