The UK Announces New Girls’ Education Program in Pakistan

The Prime Minister's Girls' Education Action Plan, which was introduced in May of this year.  The objective outlines concrete actions to carry out the United Kingdom’s international goal for girls' education. The initiative, Girls and Out of School: Action for Learning (GOAL) will assist Punjab's and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's (KPK) governments in improving academic life for girls and the underprivileged.

GOAL concentrates on two key objectives. It will directly assist some 250,000 disadvantaged children to join and remain in school in Punjab and KPK's least developed regions. Additionally, by the age of 10, more than 150,000 girls will be able to read.

By strengthening provincial education systems to increase the quality and equity of education, particularly the quality of teaching and becoming more resilient post-pandemic, GOAL will improve learning outcomes for at least 16.9 million children and 7.8 million girls. Children's access to education and learning in various Commonwealth nations will be directly supported by the program.

By ensuring that children are taught at the appropriate level for their development and encouraging others to adopt better educational methods, GOAL will bring about improvements to make education more universal.
