The inter-provincial education ministers' conference will be held today
Islamabad: A special meeting of the Inter-Provincial Education Ministers Conference will be held today under the chairmanship of Federal Minister for Education and Vocational Training Shafqat Mahmood. The panel will review the situation after the fast-growing Corona cases in educational institutions and decide whether to close or keep them open. The online education system and other alternative sources will also be discussed in detail. Health Ministry officials will brief the meeting on the increasing number of covid cases in the country.

The meeting will be held at 12:30 PM today with the participation of all provincial education ministries online. A letter has been issued to all members of the inter-provincial education ministers in this regard.
Last week's meeting could not decide whether to keep the educational institutions closed or open, while Federal Education Minister Shafqat Mahmood said that the federal government would propose in the meeting of all units today that schools be closed from November 25. He said that a meeting of the federal government and all the units would be held on Monday in which the next course of action regarding Corona would be considered. It was suggested that home education should be started instead of campus.
He said that teachers should come to school, children should study online, where there is no online arrangement, children should come to school one day and take homework. The government of Pakistan has also set up a "radio school" to promote children's education during coronavirus's global epidemic.

A statement issued by Federal Minister for Education Shafqat Mehmood on social media said that an agreement had been reached between the Ministry of Education and Radio Pakistan. The education of children will be promoted through radio. Shafqat Mehmood said that radio Educational materials would be broadcast for 4 hours daily. Educational material will be broadcast on Radio Pakistan from 10 AM to 12 PM, while it will also be repeated throughout the week from 2 PM to 4 PM.
