Taliban urged to provide full access to education at Troika plus meeting
ISLAMABAD — The countries attending the Troika Plus meeting on Thursday urged the Taliban to take measures toward establishing an inclusive and representative government in Afghanistan, while also committing to maintain practical engagement with them in order to assist the country become more stable and prosperous.
The conference of the extended Troika, which included Pakistan, China, Russia, and the United States, was held in Islamabad to address the current situation in Afghanistan.
The extended Troika met with senior Taliban representatives, according to a joint statement released after the meeting. The participants voiced great concern over Afghanistan's dire humanitarian and economic condition, and reaffirmed their unshakable support for the Afghan people.
The summit also urged the Taliban to work with Afghans to build an inclusive and representative administration that respects all Afghans' rights and ensures that women and girls have equal opportunities to participate in all sectors of Afghan life.

The participants also decided to maintain practical engagement with the Taliban in order to urge the implementation of moderate and pragmatic policies that would aid in the rapid development of a stable and prosperous Afghanistan.
The extended Troika stressed that providing full and equal access to education for women and girls at all levels is an international commitment, and urged the Taliban to step up efforts to offer full and equal access to education throughout the country.
The summit highlighted international humanitarian actors' worries about the country's severe liquidity problems and agreed to keep concentrating on efforts to make lawful financial services more accessible.
