Supreme Court Rejects Karachi University's Petition against High Court Decision
Karachi University's appeal against the High Court's decision was rejected by the Supreme Court, which ordered the decision to be implemented within 30 days.
A petition filed by the University of Karachi in the Supreme Court challenging the decision of Constitutional Petition 4597/2019 filed in Sindh High Court has been rejected, according to Express News.
The petition was heard by a two-member bench comprising Justice Ejaz-ul-Ahsan and Justice Syed Mazhar Ali Akbar Naqvi at the Islamabad Registry.
Karachi University's lawyers sought to stop the implementation of the High Court's decision, claiming that the University Syndicate is incomplete.
On 13th May 2022, the Sindh High Court rejected the application of the University of Karachi and ordered its implementation within 30 days. It is required that the meeting take place after completing the syndicate during this period.
The Sindh High Court has already summoned the registrar of University of Karachi for the implementation of this petition on October 7th.
