University student dies in an accident
In the vicinity of Aziz Bhatti police station, near University Road Hassan Square, Expo Center, a young girl was killed in a traffic accident. Ayesha Dakhtar Munawar, 19, was identified as the deceased after her body was taken to Jinnah Hospital for a post-mortem examination.
In this regard, SHO Aziz Bhatti Adeel Afzal said that the deceased was a student of Karachi University and her father works in the police department and is posted in the brigade investigation.
He went on to say that the deceased Ayesha's father was on his way to drop her daughter off at university when a sack dropped from a car on the fast track lane. The motorcycle got unbalanced and fell to the ground when the father applied the brakes. Meanwhile, a high-speed water tanker approaching from behind collided with the student on the road. After the accident, the driver of the water tanker managed to flee the scene, but the police arrived and seized the water tanker, transporting it to the police station. She was Dr. Sikander's niece (Deputy Director of Jinnah Hospital).
