Before and after the annual exam, Punjab educational boards have worked hard to facilitate students.
Rechecking of Papers
- Candidates must follow the instructions below when applying for rechecking of their papers.
- Applicants must submit an application form to the respective board authorities for rechecking.
- The application form can usually be submitted 15 days after the results are announced.
- Candidates must submit their forms according to the schedule issued. The incomplete and late submitted application forms will be rejected.
- A seven-day period will follow the rechecking of the papers before the students are notified of any corrections to their marks.
- If you apply for rechecking, there is no guarantee that your marks will increase.
- Follow all instructions regarding the rechecking of the papers to avoid any inconvenience.
Why Recheck Papers?
The following are some reasons why students want to recheck their papers after the results are announced.
The marks on the result card must match the marks on the written paper.
Questions without tick marks remain unanswered.
Matric Exam Marks Improvement
A candidate who fails any subject or wants to improve his grades or marks will have four opportunities to retake the exam within three years of passing the test. However, the student cannot get higher education during this time. The student can choose whether or not to appear in the annual exam to improve marks in the SSC annual exam.
Once the candidate's result has been improved, retaking the exam is not possible. In order to improve one's SSC result, candidates must complete HSSC. The candidates that want to improve overall grades E or D are allowed to take the four chances till the achievement of grade C.
Candidates applying for improvement over two years after passing the SSC exam must provide an affidavit that he/she has not achieved higher qualifications. The Board's Result Sheet and Certificate should indicate how many attempts the candidates have taken. If they have not improved their matric results previously, candidates who took the SSC Examination (Annual) 2020 and onward can also use these opportunities.
Moreover, the candidates having an overall ‘E’ grade or ‘D' grade may avail their chances accordingly.
Reappearing in Exams
For students who fail any subject, the Board conducts a supplementary examination. Students must submit the examination form along with the prescribed fee to the respective board authorities in order to sit for the exam. As soon as the supply exam schedule is finalized, candidates will receive it.
