SNC course books cost only Rs.800, says Murad Raas
Speaking at a local TV channel, the Minister for Education Punjab Murad Raas said that while course books for other syllabus being taught at private schools cost several thousands, the cost for the course books for Single National Curriculum is only Rs.800.

The minister said that the opposition against SNC is not surprising as it will cut-off the businesses of publisher mafia. He said that the government tried to take publishers on board and allowed them to submit their books and apply for NOCs, “Nobody bothered to apply for NOC or cooperate at that time, but now suddenly they are making a fuss out of nothing,” said Dr. Raas.
He added that former governments’ contribution to education has been nil and all they have produced is mafias.
Note that Punjab has implemented Single National Curriculum in primary schools from August 2, 2021 for the new academic session.
